We are Cub Scout Pack 750 and serve Scouts in Kindergarten through 5th grade in Kenosha, Wisconsin. Our pack is made up of amazing boys and girls and their families. We are chartered by the PTO at Jeffery Elementary School.
We are proud to say that we are a very active Pack throughout the year. Our leaders work hard to find the right blend of outdoor and indoor activities to keep our Scouts engaged.
Over the years we leveraged technology to meet interesting people, learn about different cultures, and share personal items that have family significance during different times of year. We held one of the first live-streamed Pinewood Derbies from our Cubmaster’s front porch, hosted a virtual pumpkin decorating showcase, and were entertained at a Scout-led Bear Carnival like you’ve never imagined!
When we can, we find interesting places to meet outdoors. We’ve learned about hand tools at a playground, hunted for sea glass at a local beach, hiked the great trails of our area’s nature preserves, and honored our community’s fallen veterans with wreath layings and grave stone flags. Did we mention we hold our Raingutter Regatta outside in January?
Our leadership team is made of long-term, experienced Scout leaders and Scouters. We engage older Scouts from local Troops as Den Chiefs to mentor and inspire our Cub Scouts to stay involved and become Big Scouts. Four of the Chiefs who have served in our Pack have earned their Eagle Rank so far!
Our Cub Scouts typically have 2-3 Den meetings and a Pack meeting or Pack activity each month. Pack meetings are generally on the third Thursday of each month from 6:00 -7:30 p.m. The location varies depending on the activity and conditions.
People always ask us what differentiates our Pack from others. We think it is our dedicated families, skilled, inclusive leadership, and our commitment to providing a fun Scouting experience to every Scout!
Some of our activities include:
- Haunted Hayride
- Engaging service projects
- Scouting for Food
- Frozen Raingutter Regatta
- Pinewood derby
- Pumpkin Night
- Rocket Night
- Egg Hunt
- Summer camp
- and more!
We schedule summer activities like a fishing derby, and bike adventures to keep the Pack vibrant during the summer.
We are funded through Pack dues and one fundraising effort in the fall. We do an additional fundraiser in the spring to help Scouts earn their way to Camp and other activities.
