The Kenosha Scouting community lost a true friend to Scouts recently. Blair Lindquist was an Assistant Scoutmaster at Troop 505 who unfailingly lived the Scout Law. Blair wasn’t an in-the-spotlight kind of Scouter. Instead, he was the guy you could ask to look after a Scout who was having a challenging time at camp. He was the guy you could ask to lend a hand with meal pre-prep or cleaning up afterward so the Scouts could get back to their activities. Blair was the guy you could count on to do pretty much anything to help the entire Troop keep moving forward.
Even though most of the Cub Scouts in our Pack have never met Blair personally, we are all better because of his example. We were invited to open a donation fund in Blair’s memory to support Scouting. We will work with his son, Eagle Scout Max Lindquist, and other family members to put the donations to work in a way that captures his spirit.
Trustworthy. Loyal. Helpful. Friendly. Courteous. Kind. Obedient. Cheerful. Thrifty. Brave. Clean. Reverent. That was Blair.
